Our Safety Commitment

At Family Ties CEC, the safety and well-being of every child is our highest priority. We understand that when you leave your child in our care, you are trusting us with what matters most, and we take that responsibility very seriously.

Our center is designed with safety at the forefront. It is equipped with an SEI security system, and all exterior doors remain locked at all times. Parents and authorized guardians are given key fobs upon enrollment to access the front entrance during operating hours only. This ensures that we always know who is entering and exiting the building and helps us maintain a protected environment for our children and staff.

In addition to secure entry procedures, we closely monitor all classrooms and follow strict check-in and check-out policies to ensure every child is accounted for throughout each day.

All staff members undergo three extensive background checks, including fingerprinting through the Omaha Police Department. Each year, every employee completes over 12 hours of in-service training. All infant teachers and management complete Safe with You, ABCs of Safe Sleep, Never Shake a Child, and Power to Protect. Our management team is actively completing the Getting Down to Business program through NECPRS.

Family Ties follows thorough daily cleaning and sanitation practices to maintain a healthy environment, and we adhere to clear illness policies to help protect our children and families. Each classroom follows a strict daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning checklist.

Beyond physical safety, we are deeply committed to emotional safety. We create classrooms where children feel secure, valued, and cared for. Our teachers model kindness, respect, and positive guidance so each child can grow with confidence.
